A leading postal service provider in Croydon is seeking an experienced Automation Maintenance Technician. You will be responsible for ensuring the operational performance of automation equipment and conducting various maintenance tasks. Candidates must have a background in electrical and mechanical engineering and a full UK driving license. The role offers a competitive salary, including allowances and benefits, and involves working shifts in a dynamic environment.
We are now recruiting for Automation Maintenance Technician at our Croydon Mail Centre, Croydon, CR9 4AA site.
In this role your potential earning will be over £53,195 per annum. Salary: £53,195 per annum, plus night shift allowance of £5,100 per annum (pro rata), 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays and a defined contribution pension scheme. A weekend supplement for Saturday (£51 per attendance) and Sunday (£102 per attendance) shift attendance is applicable.
The successful candidate will be required to follow the Croydon Mail Centre shift rotation system, with some degree of voluntary flexibility to meet our 24/7 operational needs, including voluntary overtime coverage and occasional shift pattern flexibility. The role will cover early, late and night and weekend shifts.
Early 06:00 - 14:10 / Late 14:00 - 22:10 / Nights 22:00 - 06:10; Weekend 06:00 - 18:00 (Saturday and Sunday) & Weekend nights 18:00 - 06:10.
As an experienced multi-skilled engineer you'll be qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 - or equivalent). Understanding Health & Safety legislation, you'll have first-hand experience of maintaining automation equipment with a flexible approach and the ability to communicate complex issues effectively.
You are required to have a full UK driving licence as on occasion you may be asked to travel to other sites.
