Job summary

A consulting firm in engineering is seeking an Electrical Control Systems Engineer to design, develop, and commission electrical control systems for industrial machinery. The successful candidate will be skilled in Siemens PLCs, particularly TIA Portal, and have experience with CAD software like E-Plan. This role entails working on various projects from software development through to on-site commissioning, requiring onsite travel to customer locations in the UK. A permanent, full-time position offering a salary of up to £55k, with responsibilities including software maintenance and fault resolution.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens PLCs, including TIA Portal and Safety PLCs.
• Knowledge of industrial drives such as Siemens G120/S120.
• Ability to produce electrical CAD drawings using E-Plan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain control software using Siemens platforms.
• Design and implement new control software solutions.
• Produce wiring diagrams and schematics using E-Plan.

Skills

Experience with Siemens PLCs

Knowledge of industrial drives

Experience using LabVIEW

Methodical approach with strong communication skills

Full UK driving licence
