Role Overview

The Automation Engineer role is typically based from home but requires travel nationally and internationally to vessels. The person will diagnose and resolve configuration and software issues with DP systems on large vessels. Due to the nature of work and value of these assets, the ideal candidate comes from an OEM background and has at least 3+ years experience, working in a high-pressure solo environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Based from home (anywhere in the UK) and mobilise on reactive and planned works to vessels needing assistance nationally or internationally.
• Diagnose and resolve configuration issues and potential software problems for DP systems on large vessels.
• Work at high-pressure solo environments, interacting with all levels of onboard personnel; excellent customer service skills required.
• Strong report writing and communication with various departments within the global business.
