Our client is seeking a DQA Engineer to join their team for a freelance B2B contract that is expected to last 6 months, with potential for additional extensions. This position is 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows

• Position : DQA Engineer

Skills and Responsibilities

• Strong experience in quality assurance for data pipelines, APIs, and ETL workflows, preferably in financial services.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven ability to design and execute test plans for complex data workflows, including functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Good understanding of modern testing methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
• Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (PyTest, Behave, unittest) and scripting languages such as Python or Java.
• Knowledge of data validation techniques, schema checks, and data integrity testing for structured and semi-structured data.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and services like S3, Glue, Lambda, EventBridge and Step Functions.
• Strong understanding of CI / CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevOps workflows.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with developers, data engineers, and business analysts.
• Experience with Agile software delivery and QA best practices.
