Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Year 2 pupil with additional needs in a welcoming and well-established primary school in Eastville, Bristol. This full-time role begins January 2026 and offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact on a child’s learning and development.

About the Role
  • Provide 1:1 support to help a Year 2 pupil engage with learning and reach their full potential
  • Use tailored strategies to support emotional regulation, engagement and social development
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO and external professionals to deliver structured, consistent support
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Support the child across both classroom activities and outdoor learning, including Forest School sessions

Pay ranges from £89-£95 (PAYE)

  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs (preferred but not essential)
  • Bring a patient, empathetic and proactive approach
  • Have strong teamwork and communication skills
