Autism Support Assistant – Slough

Location: Slough

Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to work within a caring and inclusive school in Slough. The role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support for students with autism
  • Assist in creating structured, calm learning environments
  • Work with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans
  • Encourage social skills development and emotional regulation
  • Support students with transitions and sensory needs
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with autism or similar needs
  • Understanding and patient approach to support and communication
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain one)
