The Maples Group looks to add a Leeds based Audit Confirmations Administrator on a three- four-month fixed term contract to our team and invites eager and qualified candidates to apply. Who We Seek

The successful candidate will be a member of the team responsible for processing changes to client data within the core business systems, reconciling data across systems and identifying and removing duplications combined with responding to 3rd party auditor requests on behalf of our global client base. They will develop a strong understanding of the client data and audit confirmation process and be able to interpret various data elements correctly and to respond to auditor requests to ensure the response is an accurate reflection of the client’s account information at a point in time. They will also interact with lawyer teams and finance support staff to obtain the correct information for the responses.

About the Role

Peak Season for Audit Confirmations runs from February to May annually and high volumes of requests are submitted for processing. This period is when the vast majority of time will be spent within the audit process. This successful candidate will assist in completing approximately 3,500 audit confirmation responses and 500 confirmation updates over the period.

Key areas of responsibility are:
  • Tracking audit letter requests received through a dedicated email inbox
  • Initiation of the process by registered office checks and conflict checks through the Maples Audit Request System
  • Obtaining relevant balances through the Audit Summary Report located on Maples Intranet and the Aderant practice management system
  • Preparing the audit confirmation letter through application of the correct tailoring to the Maples standard template
  • Liaising with the global lawyer teams to obtain details of litigation and approval of the letter
  • Preparing updated audit confirmations through application of the correct tailoring to the Maples standard template
  • Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to appropriate resolution
  • Provide a high level of professional customer service to internal and external customers appropriate to a highly regarded international Law Firm
EXPERIENCE

  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
