Sheridan Maine is supporting a well-established and expanding accountancy practice in the search for an Audit & Accounts Associate. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to develop their career in a supportive and professional environment, working on a variety of clients and gaining valuable experience across audit and accounts preparation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio.
  • Prepare and review accounts for limited companies, charities, and other entities.
  • Support the preparation of financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Work under the guidance of senior colleagues, providing accurate and timely deliverables.
  • Contribute to a high standard of client service and help maintain strong client relationships.
  • Participate in internal process improvements and support the smooth running of engagements.
Qualifications
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (part-qualified or newly qualified considered).
  • Experience in audit and accounts preparation preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Good communication and client service skills.
  • Proactive, organised, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
