A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking an Audiology Outpatient Supervisor to manage the outpatient team, ensuring high-quality and efficient service delivery. Responsibilities include handling patient inquiries, managing staff appraisals, and updating patient information on hospital systems. The role offers a competitive salary between £32,199 and £34,876 per annum, inclusive of the High Cost Area Supplement.

The post holder will be expected to support and assist the Assistant Service Manager.
As the role will involves managing an admin team, staff appraisals will need to be conducted timely as well as ensuring vacancies are filled and staff provided the full induction to Audiology.
The post holder will also register and update patient information on multiple hospital systems, answer telephone enquiries to hospital staff, GPs, patients and carers and investigate all queries.
Manage the Audiology outpatient team.
Promote a high quality, efficient and effective service, focusing on the needs of all service users
Handle inquiries from staff, patients and visitors relating to Audiology appointments
Analyse waiting lists and check clinic utilisation
Plan and organise straightforward tasks/activities.
Prioritise own workload and use own initiative to deal with problems.
Intercept complaints as they arise
Monitor the generic mailbox and telephones
Book new and follow up appointments as required
Cover reception as and when required (on any site)

Appraisal and review.
Maintain staffing areas in accordance with department and Trust
policies and development to improve the Audiology administrative
service.
Manage day-to-day effective operation of all Audiology administrative
areas, including assessing appropriate staffing levels and
Complete sickness absence forms and conduct return to work
interviews with members of the admin and clerical staff group within
Audiology as required.
Provide support and advice for the development of individuals and
the administration team.
Abide by the performance review and objective setting procedures
undertaken in the department.
Provide reasonable, appropriate and effective cover in the absence of
other team members.
Train more junior members of the office team in the use of Cerner
and Auditbase and assist when required.
