Role

Audio Visual Technician

Kingston Upon Thames, KT2 7PD - Permanent - Full Time

This is a unique multi purpose opportunity to join a leading global Facilities Management organisation and provide a fabulous service at a boutique hotel and leadership retreat, located in a private estate just outside Kingston Upon Thames.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the overall set-up and testing of all AV and VC equipment to all internal meeting rooms
  • Scheduling and management of Teams calls using Crestron devices
  • Liaising with clients to discuss technical requirements for large events
  • Assisting the bookings team with scheduling meetings in booking system when required. Ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and completeness of data input
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and in safe working order
  • Repairing faults where applicable. Otherwise escalate faults and repairs to the service contract holder for timely remedial action
  • Provide attendees with advice on the technology they use (such as laptops)
  • Give guidance to attendees on connecting to Wi-Fi
  • Ensuring that all equipment is set up neatly and to a high standard
  • Assist with support for multi-media broadcasting
  • To keep an on-going stock check of equipment stored on site
  • Responsible for the tidiness and organisation of the AV/Production suite
  • Supporting and monitoring digital signage
  • Working from a daily schedule of AV/VC requirements in meeting rooms ensuring technology is set up prior for meetings - including screens, speakers, clickers, Teams panels etc
  • Working alongside other operation departments, to make sure all stakeholders and clients requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with meeting room setup
What you'll bring
  • Proficiency in AV technologies provided by Crestron, Shure, Lenovo, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Live Streaming
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events and meetings
  • Previous experience of the audio-visual, events, or technical arts industries
  • Demonstrable knowledge of AV disciplines (audio, projection, video, IT, lighting)
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and experience operating a variety of large and small-scale audio events
  • Strong technical knowledge of AV equipment, video conferencing systems, and IT hardware/software
