A leading financial services organization is seeking an Assurance Manager – Member Services based in Darlington. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing a control monitoring framework and ensuring compliance within pensions administration. Ideal applicants will have experience in a control assurance environment and strong analytical and communication abilities, contributing to a team focused on delivering high-quality service to members.

As the Assurance Manager – Member Service, you will be responsible for designing and maintain a control monitoring framework that spans all aspects of pensions administration, including highly complex and manual processes. You will also ensure the controls required to support compliance with the General Code of Practice and other regulatory guidance from The Pensions Regulator are included within the monitoring framework.
As part of this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the annual AAF 01/20 Internal Control report, including coordination with internal teams and service auditors.
Collaboration with second and third line teams to align assurance activities and share insights, is key for this role.
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in a control assurance environment. Previous experience of working within regulated industry is key for this role.
We are looking for someone with excellent analytical, communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills. You will have the ability to constructively challenge assumptions and established practices whilst coaching and leading a small team.
