A leading entertainment company is seeking an Associate Talent Manager to oversee artist management at ILM. This role includes managing scheduling, resolving personnel issues, and collaborating with recruitment. The ideal candidate has VFX industry experience, strong communication skills, and great organizational abilities. This position follows a hybrid working model, requiring on-site presence 2 days a week. Closing date for applications is 30th January 2026.
We are looking for a collaborative leader who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, and passion for great filmmaking that define Industrial Light & Magic. The Associate Talent Manager is responsible for managing ILM artists within designated departments with the support and guidance of Senior Talent Manager(s) and the Director of Talent. Working closely with Production and Studio Management, this role ensures proper casting and the efficient completion of projects.
Manage artist crewing and scheduling for specific departments in conjunction with Senior Talent Manager(s).
Oversee the day-to-day needs of artists, including queries, absence, performance, career progression, and contract extensions.
Collaborate with the Director of Talent, Senior Talent Manager(s), and HR to effectively resolve people issues.
Maintain an overview of artist utilization and create scheduling availability reports.
Determine current and future personnel needs by maintaining contact with Producers regarding crew size requirements and show dates.
Partner with Recruitment to define and communicate ongoing hiring requirements for assigned departments.
Work closely with Senior Talent Manager(s) and Department Heads (HODs) regarding artist management, casting, and people development.
Experience in the VFX industry or a similar high-end computer graphics production environment, preferably in a scheduling or relevant role.
Excellent communication, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse personalities and backgrounds and with individuals at all levels seniority.
High levels of self-motivation, proactiveness, and the ability to learn quickly.
Strong administrative and organizational skills, ideally with experience with Google Suite.
Proactive and pragmatic problem-solving abilities, with a calm and professional approach in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
Previous experience of people/artist management.
This role is Hybrid, which means the employee will be required to work 2 days on-site per week at a Company designated location, and occasionally from home.
