Associate Solicitor - Agriculture & Landed Estates (5+ PQE)

Are you an experienced solicitor with a strong background in tax planning and a keen interest in working with rural estates, family businesses, and high-net-worth individuals? This leading Wiltshire multi-office practice are seeking a skilled Associate (5+ years PQE) to join their busy and well-regarded Agriculture & Landed Estates team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a respected Partner on a high-quality caseload, advising clients on complex tax planning and succession strategies.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in helping clients protect and pass on wealth across generations. Your work will include:

  • Advising on Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning
  • Structuring family partnerships and trusts
  • Drafting bespoke trust documents and settlements
  • Providing strategic advice to farming families, landed estates, and business owners
  • Supporting estate administration for complex, high-value estates (as needed)
  • Working both independently and collaboratively with a Partner on long-standing client relationships


What You'll Bring:

  • 5-7 years' PQE with a strong focus on private client tax planning
  • Deep understanding of IHT, CGT, and trust structures
  • Experience advising rural clients, family businesses, or high-net-worth individuals
  • Confidence in drafting tailored legal documents and trust instruments
  • A genuine interest in tax efficiency, succession planning, and asset protection
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
