About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in fit‑out and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of high‑profile workplace and commercial fit‑out schemes, manage key client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the London cost management team.

This role offers a blend of leadership, client‑facing responsibility, and hands‑on project delivery. You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, provide strategic cost advice, and mentor junior team members while supporting business development and account growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost management commissions for high‑end commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of projects from feasibility through to final account.
  • Provide expert cost advice, value engineering, and procurement strategies to clients.
  • Oversee tendering, contract administration, and cost control processes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Support business development activities, including bid preparation and presentations.
  • Mentor and guide junior members of the cost management team.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance.
About You
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • MRICS qualified (essential).
  • Proven experience delivering fit‑out and refurbishment projects within commercial or corporate environments.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of cost planning, procurement, and contract management.
  • Strong client‑facing and communication skills with a consultative approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Proficient in relevant software and digital cost management tools.
