A healthcare organization is seeking a motivated Generic Therapy Associate Practitioner to join the East Riding and Hull Community Intermediate Care Team. The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to provide Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy input for community rehabilitation. Candidates should possess excellent communication and listening skills, empathy, and the ability to motivate others, along with car driving capability. This full-time position requires weekend work to support a 7 days a week service delivery.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the East Riding and Hull Community Intermediate Care Team, as a Generic Therapy Associate Practitioner. You will work as part of a Multi-disciplinary team to provide Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy input to patients who require community Intermediate Care rehabilitation across East Riding and Hull.
The role requires you to work with both Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists as well as independently under the guidance of a Therapist. You will receive training and work towards competencies in both professions. Following this, you will continue to receive training and support to enable you to deliver high quality therapy interventions to the best of your ability.
You should be empathetic, have excellent communication and listening skills and the ability to support and motivate others to achieve their potential. It would be helpful for you to have had experience of working with people with physical problems within the community or hospital settings and it is essential that you are a car driver and have basic IT skills.
You will be supported by a well-established and very experienced Multidisciplinary Team and will receive supervision and support from the Advanced Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist. The organisation provides excellent CPD opportunities for staff, and your therapy team will be supporting you to develop your clinical skills. Where relevant, you may have the opportunity to work in other areas also.
This is full-time and will involve weekend working to support service delivery 7 days a week. Please note the job is advertised as a Hull base, however base location will be negotiated during appointment of the successful candidate.
