The Science Museum Group (SMG) is here to Inspire Futures.
We consist of five national museums and one collections centre and we share our world-class collection spanning science, technology, engineering and medicine with over five million visitors each year.
Working across the Group, the Global Engagement (GE) team drives our international and UK partnerships, combining support for our programmes with income generation and advocacy. GE-led income comes through grants, consultancy, professional training and touring exhibitions and we support other streams such as fundraising. Building on recent successes, the team is expanding to realise new opportunities and strengthen SMG’s resilience and impact, nationally and internationally.
To support the work of this team, we are now looking for an Associate Director of Global Engagement to focus on Projects. This new senior role will lead a key workstream within the reorganised GE department, helping to deliver SMG’s International Strategy by generating profitable revenues through major international partnerships.
You will also contribute to improving the internal infrastructure that supports this work. Managing a small team of Senior/Global Engagement Managers, you will work to establish good practice in business and project management, reviewing existing products and markets, and ensuring a sustainable pipeline of projects. You will play a pivotal role in driving growth and fostering collaboration with GE across the Group.
