Job description

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Deputy Manager to work within the Community Support Services Team. The role is full-time and based in Billericay, Essex.

The salary for this permanent Deputy Manager position is up to £26,411 per annum.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Working with service users, their families, representatives, and other professionals to develop and deliver person-centred support packages for children, young people, and adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Ensuring thorough assessments and comprehensive care plans are in place before starting, with specific staff training requirements met.
  2. Monitoring the quality and effectiveness of activity programmes in each division, reporting successes and areas for improvement, and driving innovation to ensure compliance with latest guidance and legislation.
  3. Identifying, assessing, and administering medication and specialist healthcare tasks following current legislation, including proper storage, dispensing, and staff training.
  4. Considering training needs for service users in collaboration with the training team, through relevant accredited learning streams and discussions with division leaders.
  5. Ensuring appropriate support services are in place for service users with complex physical health needs in liaison with healthcare professionals, and maintaining current and accurate guidance for staff.
  6. Providing ongoing support and supervision to staff to maintain standards and ensure clarity of expectations from both service users and the organisation.
  7. Ensuring new staff complete a thorough induction and care certificate workbook before the end of their probationary period.
  8. Facilitating opportunities for service users to build social networks within their communities by networking with local organisations and groups.
  9. Working flexibly as required within the responsibilities of the role.
Requirements:
  • A social work qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered with Social Work England.
