Assistant Site Manager Summary

As the Assistant Site Manager, you will play a key supporting role on live construction sites, helping to oversee day to day operations, programme delivery, quality and safety. You will work alongside the Site Manager and Project Team to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the company’s high standards.

Assistant Site Manager Responsibilities
  • Assist with on site management of construction activities and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and company standards
  • Support the Site Manager in coordinating trade contractors, operatives and deliveries
  • Monitor progress against the construction programme and assist with weekly updates
  • Work with the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager to identify and mitigate risks
  • Enforce quality control by inspecting workmanship, materials and finishes
  • Help prepare and maintain project documentation such as RAMS, inspections and H&S files
  • Contribute to the development of method statements and ensure subcontractor compliance
  • Liaise with the supply chain, procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, stakeholders and the wider site team
Assistant Site Manager Specification
  • Experience working on construction sites in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Exposure to projects up to £20 million is desirable
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements and RAMS
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with construction programmes and scheduling
