Job description

We’re looking for a Registry Assistant (Programmes) who’s ready to make a real impact. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our student records, supporting Registry Officers (Programmes), and collaborating with colleagues across our academic Schools. You will help us to deliver a high-quality service for Examination Boards — both in the UK and with our transnational (TNE) partners.

We’re looking for someone who brings curiosity, creativity and confidence to their work — someone who can innovate in how they manage and prioritise tasks, build trusted relationships, and contribute to an inclusive and supportive environment. In this role, you’ll provide proactive, solutions-focused administrative support before and after Exam Boards, ensuring accuracy and excellence even when deadlines are tight.

Comfortable with working in a fast-paced team, you will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience.

You’ll pay a key role in supporting the student and staff experience by:

  • Supporting the maintenance of student records and profiles in the student record system in compliance with regulations and procedures. This will primarily involve mark entry and post-Examination Board updates to specified deadlines.
  • Working collectively with the Registry Officers (Programmes) and line management to process bulk information, such as assessment and enrolment data.
  • Running reports for various stakeholders to undertake data management and cleansing activities on student records, ensuring students have accurate information available to them.
  • Liaising with Cardiff Met staff in the Academic Schools and other Support Units to promote good relationships to enable compliance with deadlines for Examination Boards and student results for home and transnational education programmes.
  • Ensuring students and staff receive a high-quality service from Registry Services.
What You’ll Bring

With the ability to thrive under pressure, you’ll be able to meet strict deadlines while prioritising and managing your workload with efficiency. Your attention to detail will ensure accuracy in student records and processes. Your organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple tasks effectively to meet tight deadlines. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills enable you to build meaningful and professional interactions with students and staff. Your collaborative approach and willingness to support colleagues.

Additionally you’ll:

  • have experience of effectively using a student registration and assessment record system, or similar record system.
  • experience of working in a similar role in a service environment.
