In your new role:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in various aspects of cost-effective building, from quantity surveying to procurement. Reporting to senior team members, your responsibilities will include assisting with cost control, compiling reports, maintaining compliance with group policies, and supporting subcontractor processes. You will also be involved in tender preparations, managing subcontractor orders and payments, and contributing to departmental administration efficiency.

What you'll need to succeed:
The ideal candidate will be studying or recently qualified in surveying at a UK college or university, demonstrating strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and a good standard of written English are essential. You should be methodical, organized, able to work independently and under pressure, with strong communication skills, the ability to build effective relationships, and a proactive, professional approach.
