Job description

Would you like to join a compassionate, friendly and supportive team, where you can make a significant difference to the lives of women/birthing people, their infants and families? We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our North Lancashire & South Cumbria Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team.

You will join other psychological staff who are all based in the team and you will be supervised by a senior clinical psychologist. You will contribute to the psychological care of service users under the care of the perinatal service. Tasks will include carrying out psychological assessment and intervention (individual and group) under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, assisting in clinically related administration, conducting audits and collection of statistics related to departmental research projects, training and project work. The post will require liaison and joint working with multidisciplinary colleagues and agencies. The role is busy, varied and interesting.

You will receive professional and clinical supervision from senior clinical psychology colleagues, and there is lots of peer support and development and training opportunities.

• There will be regular review of work goals and weekly clinical supervision.
