A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a professional to provide psychological services to offenders within the Community Forensic Learning Disabilities Service. The role involves assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with various agencies. Strong skills in clinical practice and data analysis are required. The main responsibility of the post-holder is to participate in the provision of Psychological Services to offenders within the Community Forensic LD Service. You will bring clinical and data analysis skills to bear as you develop a role already established within the team, working closely with service users, ward staff/support staff, and the wider team to support the delivery of a comprehensive psychology service in the units and evaluation of the services. The post involves working closely with other agencies, including Community services and the Criminal Justice System. The role includes coordinating a number of inter-related tasks within the time and resource demands of the service and providing clinical, research and administrative support to the psychological therapies staff in the forensic and specialist inpatient low secure learning disabilities or community forensic learning disabilities services under supervision, to assist in providing and monitoring service provision within the Service Line. You will take an active role in coordinating and conducting initial assessments and formulations under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, gather and collate information and reports to contribute to risk formulations and treatment planning.
The post requires the ability to work across multiple settings and to handle inter-related tasks within resource constraints. In addition to the responsibilities above, the role includes developing and delivering psychological services within forensic learning disability services and collaborating with other agencies.
We are Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing mental health, learning disability and specialist services. The post is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley and includes the High Cost Area Allowance (London Weighting). The allowance is 5% of basic salary, subject to a minimum of £1,303 per year and a maximum of £2,198 per year (divided monthly). The post holder must hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless exempt by the Equality Act 2010).
