Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our dynamic team and assist in delivering key projects in the water and non-infrastructure sectors. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to build their career within project management, offering the chance to work on a variety of high-impact projects.

Location: 2 x Kent based and 1 x Sussex based. Salary: up to £45,000 depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Project Support: Assist the Project Manager (PM) in the daily management, supervision, and coordination of projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Site Inspections: Attend project sites to monitor progress, ensuring adherence to Health & Safety (CDM), Quality, Environmental, and Security standards. Carry out inspections and provide reports on your findings.
  • Project Documentation: Help with the preparation of monthly status reports, cost analysis forecasts, and commercial communications, using systems like CEMAR.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Support the PM in liaising with stakeholders including Developers, Clients, Service Providers, and internal teams to ensure smooth communication and project progression.
  • Project Delivery: Assist in managing small and medium-sized projects or components of larger schemes, ensuring all activities are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Conduct Domestic Water Regulation Inspections and assist in commercial works. Ensure compliance with water industry regulations.
  • Governance & Reporting: Support the production of project documentation, including risk and change management reports. Update and maintain project systems for monitoring project progress and performance.
About you
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with water regulations, construction practices, and the infrastructure project delivery process.
  • Qualifications: APM Project Management Qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), strong organisational abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
