Assistant Principal - Industrialised Battery Manufacturing. This role will act as the primary link between University Centre Somerset College Group (UCS College Group) and a major global battery manufacturer, ensuring that the College's curriculum, training provision, and workforce development programmes are directly aligned to the skills needs of a new battery manufacturing facility. The postholder will translate the client's workforce requirements into innovative, practical, and high-quality educational programmes that prepare both new entrants and existing employees for the demands of this fast-growing sector. The postholder will build trusted and productive relationships with the client, sector bodies, and wider stakeholders, positioning UCS College Group as a leading partner in battery manufacturing skills. They will be responsible for shaping and adapting engineering and manufacturing curriculum to reflect the latest developments in electrification, battery technologies, and advanced manufacturing practices. By combining educational expertise with strong industry engagement, the postholder will help secure long-term benefits for learners, employers, and the community.
