We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Marketing Manager, to join a global engineering business whose work helps to combat climate change by reducing their customers impact on the environment. Responsibilities
  • As the Assistant Marketing Manager youll be managing a team of 3, responsible for helping to drive and grow marketing output, in a varied role where no two days are the same.
  • Youll need to balance creativity with commercial acumen, working across strategic message development, advertising and public relations.
  • Were looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our clients experienced and passionate Marketing Department.
  • Support with planning, implementing and monitoring marketing campaigns, social media posts, press releases and other marketing communications
  • Research potential target customers, identify and verify location of prospects, and follow up potential opportunities
  • Assist with production of marketing materials and collateral also managing stock levels as agreed with the Head of Marketing
  • Assist in the organisation and coordination of marketing events such as conferences, and tradeshows
  • Monitor and report on campaigns, evaluating data on key metrics
  • Assist in the creation of marketing reports for departmental heads and the board of directors
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities through advertising and other promotional activities
  • Track leads by working alongside the Marketing Office Coordinator to follow up with the Sales Team
  • Support and take active involvement in company CSR activities
  • Manage internal and external requests assigning relevant tasks to the Marketing Office Coordinator, Marketing Administrator and the Senior Graphic Designer
  • Actively promote and encourage members of the Marketing Department to further enhance their skills
  • Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs, utilising the skillset of other members of the Marketing team
Skills & Experience
  • Essential
    • Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or relevant discipline
    • Experience of managing a team
    • 2-3 years experience within a Marketing or Sales department
    • Ability to understand engineering concepts and communicate them
    • Excellent administration practices and procedures, able to work under time constraints and deadlines
    • Advanced IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages particularly excel
    • Effective and confident communicator with good presentation skills, exceptional telephone manner, and able to build working relationships with senior staff
    • Resilience and the ability to challenge the status quo
    • Results driven with an eagerness to assist in the continuous improvement across the organisation
  • Desirable
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.)
    • Experience with Hubspot
    • An understanding of social media campaign planning, strategy, and scheduling
    • Creative flair and talent for content writing
