Responsibilities
- As the Assistant Marketing Manager youll be managing a team of 3, responsible for helping to drive and grow marketing output, in a varied role where no two days are the same.
- Youll need to balance creativity with commercial acumen, working across strategic message development, advertising and public relations.
- Were looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our clients experienced and passionate Marketing Department.
- Support with planning, implementing and monitoring marketing campaigns, social media posts, press releases and other marketing communications
- Research potential target customers, identify and verify location of prospects, and follow up potential opportunities
- Assist with production of marketing materials and collateral also managing stock levels as agreed with the Head of Marketing
- Assist in the organisation and coordination of marketing events such as conferences, and tradeshows
- Monitor and report on campaigns, evaluating data on key metrics
- Assist in the creation of marketing reports for departmental heads and the board of directors
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through advertising and other promotional activities
- Track leads by working alongside the Marketing Office Coordinator to follow up with the Sales Team
- Support and take active involvement in company CSR activities
- Manage internal and external requests assigning relevant tasks to the Marketing Office Coordinator, Marketing Administrator and the Senior Graphic Designer
- Actively promote and encourage members of the Marketing Department to further enhance their skills
- Provide administrative and project support for a variety of marketing programs, utilising the skillset of other members of the Marketing team
Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Degree (or equivalent) in Marketing or relevant discipline
- Experience of managing a team
- 2-3 years experience within a Marketing or Sales department
- Ability to understand engineering concepts and communicate them
- Excellent administration practices and procedures, able to work under time constraints and deadlines
- Advanced IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages particularly excel
- Effective and confident communicator with good presentation skills, exceptional telephone manner, and able to build working relationships with senior staff
- Resilience and the ability to challenge the status quo
- Results driven with an eagerness to assist in the continuous improvement across the organisation
- Desirable
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop etc.)
- Experience with Hubspot
- An understanding of social media campaign planning, strategy, and scheduling
- Creative flair and talent for content writing
