Overview

Dairy Queen Newmarket is currently seeking full-time staff to join the team. We are looking for someone to start immediately and to work with us steadily each season. Must have flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage various aspects of the store including customer service, kitchen and dining room functions
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver an excellent experience for customers
• Provide direction to Crew Members, give feedback to staff and other managers, and train new employees when applicable
• Maintain good judgment and decision-making abilities while communicating with customers
• Maintain a clean, safe and positive work environment
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks

Qualifications

• Demonstrated excellent customer service/retail/food industry experience
• Leadership experience as a store manager, assistant manager, lead hand, shift supervisor, key holder, or similar role
• Passion for customer service and a customer-first mindset
• Ability to work in a team and take initiative; capable of independent work
• Comfort with giving direction, providing feedback, and training staff
• Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive work environment
• Willingness to obtain required certificates (e.g., Safe Food Handling) considered an asset
