A prestigious hotel in Liverpool is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to join their team. This role involves assisting with maintenance tasks, ensuring hotel areas are well-kept, and providing a positive, customer-focused experience. The ideal candidate will be a qualified electrician and/or plumber with strong communication skills and a good eye for detail. You must be positive, efficient and motivated with a friendly approach and a good eye for detail and accuracy. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to develop good working relationships with other departments in the hotel, and crucially, someone who is able to communicate effectively and be customer focused and able to work independently using their initiative with minimal direction from the Maintenance Manager.
Assisting in planned reactive and preventative maintenance schedule when requested. The completing of utility readings at required times daily.
Working safely at ALL times, conforming to statutory and company health and safety regulations especially with regards to fire procedures, manual handing, chemical usage and disposal of waste materials and reporting of accidents. Complying with other related regulations (e.g. COSHH).
Assisting in the up‑keep of hotel areas ensuring that - at all times - they are free from daily wear and tear as far as possible. This includes general painting and decorating and refurbishment works as required.
A positive approach to flexible working will be expected as working patterns will be changed from time to time to meet the hotel needs i.e. being prepared to participate in the out of hours 'On Call' rota.
Being fully qualified as an electrician and/or plumber and therefore legally able to complete related tasks in a competent manner is preferable.
