If so, we want you to join our Senior Leadership Team at Brookfield Community School in Chesterfield, a large and successful secondary school committed to delivering outstanding education to all our students. As Assistant Headteacher (Teaching & Learning), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for our students and staff. Reporting directly to the Headteacher, you will:

Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Headteacher and Deputy Headteachers when required.
  • Be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to whole‑school strategic development.
  • Lead and oversee key areas, including (but not limited to):
    • Teaching & learning strategy
    • CPD programme and INSET days
    • Staff appraisals and performance management
    • Quality assurance
    • Homework systems and ClassCharts
    • Staff induction and tutoring programmes
    • ECT/ITE programmes
Qualifications
  • A proven track record of impactful leadership in teaching and learning.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to drive whole‑school improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Commitment to professional development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
