Job Title: Assistant Headteacher
Location: Baston House School, Bromley, Kent BR2 7AB
Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Fixed Term ending July 2026; Term Time Only
Start: October 2025

As part of our continued growth in service, we are looking for an experienced Assistant Headteacher to join Baston House School on a fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality education in a specialist setting for pupils with varied needs. Working alongside the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will provide clear, authentic leadership, support the development of individualised learning programmes, uphold the school’s strong safeguarding culture, and contribute strategically to the growth and success of the school.
You will have the opportunity to inspire and guide a multidisciplinary team, develop school-wide policies and practices, and ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and pastoral care. This role offers the chance to be innovative, creative, and impactful, helping every pupil reach their full potential.
Baston House is an independent day specialist provider of education and care for young people and adults aged 5 to 19 years who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASC).
