Overview

Assistant Gym Manager at PureGym supports the Gym Manager to lead a team of fitness professionals, ensure high-quality service delivery, and contribute to the growth and retention of membership. The role emphasizes delivering an excellent member experience through consistent service and standards while fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver an excellent member experience in the club through a constant focus on service and standards, alongside the Gym Manager.
  • Support the Gym Manager to attract new joiners through club outreach and community events.
  • Team Leadership: recruit, develop a talent pipeline, train and supervise a team of Personal Trainers/Fitness Coaches and Gym Instructors; foster a positive and motivating work environment.
  • Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for fitness staff to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Group Exercise: manage and improve the GEX offering within the gym.
Qualifications
  • L2 qualification in gym instructing, and experience teaching group exercise.
  • A passion for fitness and wellbeing.
  • Someone who embodies the mantra of "Everybody Welcome" in all that they do.
  • A desire to do the right thing; driving results with resilience, confidence, and integrity.
Benefits
  • Contracted salary, 40 hours per week. Annual Salary - £26,086.
