Job summary

A financial services firm is seeking an Assistant Fund Accountant to support fund controllers in managing corporate entities. This role entails cash flow forecasting, posting journal entries into Yardi, and assisting with tax compliance and invoice processing. Candidates should have relevant experience in fund accounting, preferably within real estate, along with strong Microsoft Excel skills and be partially qualified or working towards an accounting qualification.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role (Fund Accounting preferred).
• Experience within Real Estate or other Financial Services is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft (Excel, Pivot tables etc).

Responsibilities

• Assisting fund controllers with corporate entity management.
• Coordinate cash flow forecasting for clients with the fund controllers and asset management.
• Post journal entries into Yardi including accruals, provisions, and revaluations.

The Role:

Assistant Fund Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting fund controllers with corporate entity management.
• Coordinate cash flow forecasting for clients together with the fund controllers and the asset management team
• Post journal entries into Yardi (e.g. accruals, provisions and revaluations).
• Assist fund controllers with tax compliance (including VAT reporting).
• Assist with the liquidation of entities where required including the maintenance of any deadline trackers implemented.
• Support the fund controllers on the processing of invoices through the accounts payable system up to the payment of the invoice.

Prior Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role (Fund Accounting preferred)
• Experience within Real Estate or other Financial Services is advantageous
• Experience using Yardi
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft (Excel, Pivot tables etc)
• Strong academics at A level & University
• Part Qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification
