A leading logistics company in Wellingborough is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to enhance operational performance through effective financial reporting. The hybrid role offers a unique work arrangement of 4 days onsite and 1 day remote, supporting the Virgin Media O2 contract with costings, forecasts, and KPI management. Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for an Assistant Finance Manager to join our team in Wellingborough supporting our Virgin Media O2 contract. You will be responsible for delivering business‑focussed best practice reporting and insights into operational performance while successfully delivering the provision of all financial information including weekly costings, monthly accounts, forecasts, KPI's and balance sheet reconciliations.

This is a full‑time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, 08:30‑17:00, with a hybrid arrangement of 4 days based on‑site and 1 day working from home.

We're looking to offer a salary up to £38,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly operational performance reporting for both GXO and the customer
  • Working with the on-site and central HR team to resolve queries, effective communication of issues and management of over or under payments
  • Assist the Finance Manager in improving and developing reporting processes and procedures
  • Provide variance analysis with adequate commentary and aid operational management in the interpretation of results
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • CIMA, ACCA or currently studying towards completion is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of financial management systems and having experience of Oracle would be advantageous
  • Experience with open book contracts is desirable
  • Proven track record in successfully establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with both internal and external customers
