We are currently looking for an experienced Assistant Estimator to join our team in Ripon, CA! The ideal candidate has HVAC-specific experience in the construction field as an Assistant Estimator. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while developing skills in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist estimators in reviewing plans, specifications, and proposal documents
  2. Perform takeoffs and organize bid packages
  3. Provide project support and documentation
  4. Help coordinate with vendors/subcontractors for quotes
  5. Data entry, document formatting, and file management
  6. Manage and track deadlines for estimates and project tasks

Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Ability to read and understand mechanical plans (basic level at minimum)
  2. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
  3. Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM
  4. Excellent organizational and communication skills
  5. High attention to detail
  6. Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  7. Team player with a positive attitude
  8. Prior experience in construction and HVAC
  9. Familiarity with estimating or construction management software a bonus
