Overview

We are recruiting an ambitious Assistant Ecologist to join our London office. The successful candidate will work closely with the ecology team to support protected species surveys and contribute to a variety of ecological projects across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake protected species surveys (Phase 1 Habitat Surveys, PEA, PRA, Bat, GCN, Bird, Badger, etc.)
  • Assist with small to medium‑sized ecological projects
  • Contribute to rewilding, BNG, wild pond and habitat creation initiatives
  • Gain exposure to and training in key ecological disciplines and legislation
Requirements
  • 0–1 year of industry experience (senior positions available for those with more experience)
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management or a related field
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Basic knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
  • Membership or association with the Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management preferred
