The Assistant Director, Donor Engagement, Compliance contributes to NKU's fundraising success by designing and coordinating donor experiences and connections to the impact of their giving. This position is an instrumental part of University Advancement, ensuring that funds are properly allocated and providing meaningful cultivation, stewardship, and recognition.

Purpose of Position
Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of gift cultivation, stewardship, and compliance, with a focus on donor-funded scholarships, including donor communication, recognition, reporting, and spending audits.

  • Coordinate and enhance student involvement in donor relations across campus, ensuring students actively participate in expressing gratitude and engaging with donors.

  • Regularly review donor agreements, university policies, and various regulations relevant to the administration of donor funds. Ensure this information is accessible and organized for donor inquiries and University Advancement staff.

  • Develop and implement specialized reporting and materials for donors and funds as well as other pieces to tell the story of donors' gifts and ongoing impact.

  • Work closely with the Office of Student Financial Assistance, the NKU Foundation, and scholarship committee(s) to ensure donor criteria are properly maintained throughout the selection and awarding processes.

  • Provide administrative support for donor visits and general donor relations operations, including packaging and mailing donor gifts, managing communications, and coordinating outreach.

  • Maintain NKU's donor database related to donor relations, ensuring touchpoints and outreach are captured accurately and kept up-to-date.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of university priorities, programs, and initiatives to identify possible engagement opportunities for donors and prospects.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Some weekend/evening work is required.
