Job Summary
Provide health promotion and health education to employers and employees, working autonomously and as part of the Medigold Health multi‑disciplinary team to ensure a satisfactory level of service for all clients and their employees, meeting current service level agreements.
Responsibilities
- Undertake health surveillance, including vaccinations and phlebotomy as required.
- Practice within the scope of the NMC professional practice and Code of Conduct, working according to qualifications, experience and competency.
- Maintain evidence to support revalidation and undertake CPD and other training needs to meet NMC continuing registration requirements.
- Familiarise with the requirements of all appropriate client contracts and Aide Memoirs.
- Maintain, store and handle medical records in accordance with Medigold‑Health Data Protection Policy and GDPR, preserving client and employee confidentiality.
- Liaise with other service teams regarding client and patient queries.
- Complete all clinical administration in accordance with Medigold‑Health policies and procedures, ensuring activities are completed within agreed timescales and service level agreements.
- Participate in clinical audit activities as required.
- Undertake health surveillance/medicals/health promotion activities as required.
- Deliver occupational health services to Medigold clients, ensuring the provision of occupational health advice is at the highest standard.
- Undertake clinical supervision/peer audit in relation to case management.
- Act as an ambassador and promote the occupational health services available.
- Provide professional occupational health case‑management advice for clients, expediting early return to work for absent employees, and maintain appropriate advice on health issues.
Requirements for this role
- Nursing qualification.
- Occupational health degree/diploma.
- NMC registration.
- Demonstrable equivalent experience within occupational health departments.
- Experience of attending, presenting and hosting client wellness and health promotion days.
- Trained to undertake all clinical services including health surveillance, fitness‑to‑work medicals, vaccinations and phlebotomy.
- Experience with case management activities, undertaking complex referrals.
