A leading UK port operator in Tilbury is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to manage civil engineering projects. Responsibilities include preparing contract specifications, maintaining project budgets, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods, good communication skills, and experience with AutoCAD. We are looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer to support the Port Engineering Management and wider team in the planning, supervision, and successful delivery of civil engineering and building projects across the Port of Tilbury. This role will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards while meeting the expectations of clients and stakeholders.
Use in-house AutoCAD (following training) to interpret, modify, and prepare technical drawings and layouts in support of project planning and delivery
We’re seeking a motivated and proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, work well independently and collaboratively, and bring a strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods. You’ll be someone who is confident in liaising with contractors and stakeholders, and who is driven to see projects through to successful completion.
