The Royal Borough of Greenwich's Street Services is seeking an exceptional Assistant Business & Transformation Manager to join our dynamic Business Support Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage critical business functions while driving digital transformation across a vital public service.

Street Services is responsible for essential waste collection and street cleansing operations across Greenwich, with 446 staff members and a substantial budget portfolio of £32 million. As part of our forward-thinking Business Support Team, you'll be instrumental in assisting with managing the back-office functions that enable efficient and effective frontline service delivery.

As our Assistant Business & Transformation Manager, you'll support and occasionally deputise for the Business & Transformation Manager, taking a hands-on approach to:

Responsibilities
  • People Leadership - Directly manage a team of 10 staff, developing talent and driving performance excellence
  • Financial Oversight - Support the management of budgets totalling £32m and income generation exceeding £2.5m
  • Digital Transformation - Champion innovative IT solutions and digital communication strategies
  • Performance Analysis - Collect, analyse, and present critical service-wide performance data for senior leadership
  • Traded Services - Ensure commercial services operate at full cost recovery with robust service agreements
  • Operational Excellence - Support frontline service delivery through effective systems management
