The Opportunity

QVC UK is looking for an Assistant Apparel Designer to join our Design team at Chiswick Park, West London. You will play an important part in developing our private label products, supporting the design process from concept to final approval. Reporting to the Design Manager, you will help shape our product range for QVC's proprietary brands, ensuring every piece resonates with our customers and reflects the latest trends. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days a week in the office and 3 days working from home.

Your Impact
  • You will support all aspects of the product design process, including market research, sketching, material and colour selection
  • You’ll create presentation boards and materials for product meetings and line reviews
  • You will help research seasonal trends and shop the market for new ideas
  • You’ll help develop seasonal colour palettes and build fabric libraries with our sourcing teams
  • You will create flat sketches and design development packages using our PLM system.
  • You’ll review and approve proto samples, ensuring materials meet design needs
  • You will collaborate with our technical designers and overseas offices to ensure accuracy and delivery
  • You’ll also maintain development documentation and support the team with special projects
What You Bring
  • You will have a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design or Fine Arts (or equivalent experience)
  • You have experience with design and conceptual skills, with a sense of colour and print
  • You will have experience working systems such as Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • If you have knowledge of a PLM system this will be an advantage
  • You should have excellent organisational and presentation skills
  • You will have the ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly and adapt to new ideas
