This established and reputable housing association with c.6000 properties based in central and south-east London requires a permanent Asset Manager to oversee and manage responsive contracts, planned/cyclical maintenance, refurbishment/upgrade works and new homes development.

The association are also pursuing a rigorous stock optimisation programme in light of the 1% cut in rent payments and to ensure best property use and obtain best value of their property portfolio.

The role:

  • Deliver an Asset Service that addresses the needs of our assets today and supports the delivery of investment programmes in line with the associations Asset Management Strategy.
  • Work closely with our development partners to provide new homes for the future.
  • Lead the good governance and compliance of the associations assets.
  • Use procurement as a method of driving better services at best cost with the maximum social value measures.
  • Manage and control budgets and expenditure.
  • Work with leadership and management across a range of activities.
  • Manage and developing surveyors.
  • Budgetary and financial responsibility to deliver business plans and projects.
  • Procurement of contractors and building partnerships with consultants.
  • Manage risk and compliance.
  • Knowledge of construction/health and safety legislation and regulations.
