The role:

Engineering Power Plant require an Asset Manager to take responsibility for ensuring engine, APU and nacelle availability to support the fleet and for the delivery of technical and commercial initiatives. The role requires working cross departmentally and also with external suppliers.

The successful applicant requires technical knowledge of aircraft engines and the regulatory environment, combined with proven influencing skills and experience of delivering key projects.

What you'll do:

  • Help develop a model that can be used to forecast engine maintenance requirements. Model to be transferable to all engine types.
  • Manage suppliers to deliver on their commercial obligations and maximize the commercial advantage to BA.
  • Drive optimal technical decisions in the wider team and lead technical discussions across departments and suppliers using expertise, considering the effects on the wider business.
  • Influence in delivering the financial plan.
  • Incorporate technical standards, policies, and strategic direction into Powerplant's daily business.
  • Coordinate across British Airways including internal and external suppliers, customers, and stakeholders regarding engine, APU, and nacelle deliveries.
  • Deliver a portfolio of projects and programs of commercial value to the business.
  • Coach and mentor team members to contribute to the business plan; develop a high-performance team culture aligned with company values.
  • Monitor fleet reliability, develop improvement plans to achieve performance targets.
  • Lead or support formal investigations following safety protocols.
  • Prioritize workload, ensuring compliance with all procedures, policies, and regulations.
  • Report, present, and communicate operational and business performance to senior stakeholders effectively.

Your experience:
