EdEx may have the perfect Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist - Teaching Assistant opportunity for you.

EdEx are exclusively working with a mainstream secondary school in Wandsworth to find 2 Teaching Assistants (Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist - Teaching Assistant) to work in the school\'s Speech, Communication and Language provision, supporting children with various needs including Speech and Language, Communication, Social, Autism (Verbal and Non-Verbal) needs and more.

  • Opportunity to take part and lead specialist interventions in; Lego Therapy, Speech and Language, Zones of Regulation and more.
  • Work closely with specialist Teachers, Therapists and Psychologists to best support secondary aged pupils with various needs.
  • Receive training and support from day one - with no day being the same, working across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Support various students with wide-ranging needs 1-2-1 and in small groups, inside and outside of the classrooms.

What experience will you need?
  • A graduate with a 1st Class or 2:1 - subject isn\'t a barrier, ideally from a reputable university.

  • Previous experience supporting children, young people or adolescents - Essential. This can be tutoring, nannying, babysitting, volunteering or personal experience.

Role details
