Job Title: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant
Location: Crawley
Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30

Responsibilities
  • Assisting students academically and pastorally
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Able to encourage the development of social skills and support students\' individual needs
  • Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
  • Follow safeguarding procedures
  • Assist with maintaining accurate individual student records
  • Participate in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
Qualifications and Requirements
  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Psychology Graduates/Aspiring Educational Psychologist
  • Education in English and Maths, Grade 5 / C and above (desired)
  • Keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
  • Background checks: enhanced DBS on the update service (safeguarding requirement)
Location, Schedule and Setting

Location: Crawley

Working hours: 8:30 – 15:30, five days a week

Setting: SEN learning support in classes of 5-8 students, with some 1:1 support
