Overview

Job Title: Aspiring Educational Psychologist - Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant

Location: Bognor Regis

Contract Type: Long Term Contract, 5 days a week, 8:30 - 15:30

This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with previous SEN experience or a Graduate with a keen interest in this area of work. It is the perfect position for someone in search of hands-on experience working with social, emotional mental health needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting students academically and pastorally
  • Willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  • Able to encourage the development of social skills and support students\' individual needs
  • Attend staff meetings and complete CPD
  • Follow safeguarding procedures
  • To ensure accurate individual student records are maintained
  • Participating in team meetings and training programmes as an active member of a team
Qualifications
  • An Undergraduate Degree (preferable) and/or previous SEN experience, ideal for Psychology Graduates/Aspiring Educational Psychologist
  • Education in English and Maths, Grade 5 / C and above (desired)
  • Knowledge, keen interest or understanding of the range of different types of learning and behavioural needs (SEMH, PRU, Cognitive Behaviours)
