SEN Teaching Assistant

An inclusive mainstream primary school in Caversham is looking for a teaching assistant to work with autistic children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The school would ideally like someone with an understanding or experience with ABA. The position is to begin ASAP and requires a minimum of a Level 3 qualification and ideally a degree.

Responsibilities
  • Support autistic pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Apply strategies to support children with autism and utilise ABA-informed approaches where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and a team including speech and language therapists, psychologists and other support staff.
  • Be proactive, use initiative, and be flexible/adaptive.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification; degree preferred.
  • Experience with autism or ABA is advantageous.
