Aspire People are seeking a compassionate ASC Support Assistant to join a supportive specialist secondary school. The school caters to pupils with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:

As an ASC Support Assistant, you will provide 1:1 support to pupils, helping them to access learning, develop social skills, and feel included in all aspects of school life. You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to deliver personalised strategies and build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.

You Will:
  • Support pupils with ASC on 1:1 basis and within group settings
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies
  • Promote independence, confidence, and social interaction
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to feedback and reports
  • Support pupils during break times, ensuring safety and positive engagement

  • Has experience working with pupils with ASC or other complex needs
