Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor / Consultant

Location: Bishop’s Stortford, Essex

Salary / Benefit: 24k – 37k DOE + Company Vehicle + Training

Professional asbestos management company with a team of loyal site staff are currently looking to recruit an experienced asbestos surveyor. You will be joining the company’s Essex office, traveling across the South East / London area to deliver high spec asbestos surveys to a mixed portfolio of sites. Candidate must hold the P402 qualification and hands on site experience. In return, the client can offer a competitive basic salary and long term training plans.

Consideration will be given to candidates based in Essex and the surrounding location e.g. Bishop’s Stortford, Harlow, Sawbridgeworth, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, Hertford, Ware, Cheshunt, Chelmsford, Braintree, Maldon, Brentwood, Wickford, Rayleigh, Basildon, Romford, Hornchurch, Stanford-le-Hope, Canvey Island, Rainham and the surrounding area.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Will have attained the P402 qualification or the equivalent RSPH qualification.
• Previous experience working as a surveyor within the asbestos industry.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
• Good working knowledge of the asbestos Health & Safety procedures.

Key Tasks:

• Carrying out Asbestos Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various properties including commercial and industrial.
• Bulk Sampling of suspected ACMs.
• Producing comprehensive reports following surveys.
• Using TEAMS / TRACKER and handheld PDAs.
• Building and maintaining a good working relationship with clients.
