Job description

Our client is a successful asbestos consultancy that is recruiting for a professional and knowledgeable Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst based in or around the Glasgow area. The ideal candidate will hold the P402/3/4 certificates and have extensive experience carrying out technical surveys on a variety of site and contract types including commercial and industrial contracts. Consideration will be given to applications from Paisley, Bishopbriggs, East Kilbride, Hamilton and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & experience

• The successful candidate will hold the P402/P403/P404 asbestos certificates or the equivalent RSPH qualifications.
• Will have experience working on a mixed portfolio including commercial, industrial and healthcare sites.
• A good working knowledge of asbestos health & safety procedures/legislation.
• Possess excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Proficient IT skills with Microsoft office package.

Duties within the role

• Carry out 4 stage clearances, smoke, background, leak reassurance, visual, re-occupation and personal air testing.
• Undertake Management, Refurbishment and Demolition surveys on a variety of properties including commercial and industrial.
• Supervise contractors on site to ensure compliance with health & safety procedures.
• Collate and produce comprehensive and accurate reports.
• Build and maintain a professional working relationship with clients.

Overall the ideal candidate will come from a strong asbestos background contributing their wealth of knowledge and experience to an already established team.
