Overview

Here is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused and self-driven Asbestos Contracts Manager to work for a prominent and fast growing asbestos company in the South East and will include applications from London, Essex, Surrey, Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.

Attributes & Requirements

In general, the successful individual will be smart, flexible and versatile and have the aptitude to deliver services effectively and at the same time have the acumen to take the business a step further.

Must have good formal education. Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Must be fully conversant with the asbestos industry and the Health & Safety procedures pertaining to asbestos. Must have good inter-personal, organizational, presentation, people management, leadership, client facing and communication skills. Must have significant working within this role and within the asbestos industry. Must be prepared to travel within areas designated by the client.

Role Will Encompass
  • Predominately overseeing and operating in various sectors, including commercial, public and industrial sectors.
  • Managing and organizing labour force.
  • Managing and overseeing a team/staff, supervisors and contractors.
  • Assessing potential contracts, estimating and completing risk assessments, etc.
  • Completing tenders and PPQ’s.
  • Carrying out audits and ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the Health & Safety procedures and company policy.
  • Preparing method statements necessary for the work completed – ASB5 notification.
  • Managing and organizing teams to complete contracts professionally, attending meetings and developing and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Making recommendations with regards to improvements in client services.
  • Producing monthly management reports, using company procedures.
  • Ensuring that work is carried out effectively and within time frame.
  • Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Ensuring that the team achieves the company’s Health and Safety standards and procedures.
