Qualified Art Teacher
Job description
Teaching Art (KS3-4) – Great Yarmouth

You will deliver Art lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students in a range of media including drawing, painting, mixed media, photography, and sculpture. The curriculum is structured but open enough for teachers to shape units of work with their own artistic voice. You will also support GCSE portfolio development, maintain displays of student artwork, and contribute to art clubs and creative events throughout the year. The department benefits from dedicated art studios, well‑organised storage, excellent natural light, and access to high‑quality materials. Technicians and colleagues work collaboratively to ensure lessons run smoothly and creative ideas are supported.

School Information

This school is proud of its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral structure, and positive relationships between staff and students. Behaviour is consistently managed, ensuring the Arts remain both valued and enjoyable. Staff work closely across departments, sharing successful strategies and supporting each other with planning and assessment. Leadership is exceptionally supportive of the creative curriculum and encourages teachers to bring ambition, flair, and individuality into the classroom. Workload is monitored carefully, and policies are built around practicality, not paperwork.
